Description
Inspired by the French Pineau des Charentes method, Pino de Bali has been fortified prior to fermentation and has been aged in French oak for over 5 years using the solera system which results in a unique balance of complex aromas and flavours.
Though many restaurants offer it as a dessert wine, it is also makes a delicious aperitif which matches with foie gras or rich cheeses.

- Grapes: locally grown Alphonse-Lavallée & Belgia (Muscat of Alexandria family)
- Style: Fortified. Solera system. 5 years oak maturation.
- Palate: Dried pear and apricot, walnut, chocolate and coffee, sticky sweet
- Nose: Christmas pudding, spice, vanilla and dried fruits
- Food match: as aperitif, or dessert wine. Good with bittersweet chocolate, chocolate cake or tarts, also sensational with fruit mince pie. A classic partnership is with walnuts, blue cheese, pate and antipasto.
